Recommended Routine Care Of Granwood Flooring Systems

Please note that the following recommendations are for guidance only.
Any maintenance regime and its frequency will be influenced by the type, internsity and frequency of usage of the floor.

General Maintenance

• Periodically sweep the floor with a dampened “V” Mopsweeper or push-mop to remove all dirt, debris and other abrasive materials.

• Dirty floors should be washed with the recommended Granwax maintenance products using an automatic scrubber/dryer machine wherever possible. You could also use a conventional mop system, bucket, rotary scrubbing machine and wet vacuum.

• Where a floor dressing has been applied and polishing equipment is available, floors will respond well to semi-dry cleaning with a nylon maintenance pad and an appropriate maintainer.

• Floor dressings will require periodically stripping and reapplying. Take care not to over apply any floor dressing as this can have a detrimental effect on the appearance of the floor.

• From time to time, the floor will require refinishing with new coats of seal in order to restore the floor as near to its original condition as possible and to offer further protection to the Granwood floor blocks.
